Update: Houthis claim responsibility for UAE drone attacks, warn
of further action
A spokesperson for the Yemeni Houthis has confirmed that a series of drone
attacks were coordinated and conducted by Houthi military forces. At least
five missiles and a large number of drones were launched into UAE territory,
impacting sites in locations such as Abu Dhabi. The reasoning for the attack
has been cited as a response to 'US-Saudi-Emirati aggression' against the
Houthis in their ongoing conflict for control over Yemen. During the message,
the Houthi spokesperson warned foreign companies and citizens in UAE that
they would not hesitate to strike a more expansive list of targets and that
further attacks in the 'coming period' could not be ruled out.
