Ground offensive
launched in Amhara
The Ethiopian National Defence Force has launched a ground offensive in
Amhara against positions held and operated by members of the Tigray People's
Liberation Front (TPLF). Fighting has been documented in the western towns of
Wegeltena, Wurgessa and Haro. A mixture of artillery fire, fighter jets,
drones, rockets and tanks have been reported in the area. An accurate
estimate of the number of injuries and fatalities caused by the ground
offensive is not available at this time.
