Update: ISIS-K
claim responsibility for mosque bombing in Kunduz
Local media reports indicate that ISIS-K has claimed responsibility for
the earlier attack on a Shiite mosque in Khanabad, Kunduz. According to
varying reports, the death toll currently stands between 70 to 200 with
around 150 more injured. ISIS-K are a regional affiliate of the Islamic State
group and they conducted the Kabul airport attack in August 2021.
