Suspected bandits kidnap several people in Niger state

According to local media reports, suspected bandits captured several people from two communities in Niger state during early morning hours local time. Among those kidnapped was a youth leader of the All Progressives Congress in Garin Gabbas, as well as the district head of Gunna in Yakila. Security forces have launched a search operation; further information was not immediately available.
