Hawaii - Ash advisory issued following eruption from Kilauea volcano

The National Weather Service has announced that a strong eruption has occurred at the Halemaumau crater. Periods of ashfall are likely from Kilauea volcano in the coming hours, which will be pushed towards the southwest, causing possible ash fallout over the Kau district and Highway 11. This area includes the communities of Pahala, Wood Valley, Naalehu and Ocean View.
