president indicates troops to be sent to Kosovo in 24 hours
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced on state media that he
will order the deployment of troops into Kosovo within 24 hours should NATO
forces fail to intervene in the security situation there. Vucic has said this
is to ensure the protection of ethnic Serbs in the territory. This follows
tensions between Serbia and Kosovo in recent days. No comment has been issued
by NATO officials regarding the matter.
