Tennessee - Update: Curfew announced for the area surrounding the explosion in Nashville The Mayor of Nashville, John Cooper has announced a state of civil emergency and implemented a curfew until 16:30hrs local time on 27 December following an earlier explosion in the city. The curfew applies to the area within James Robertson Parkway, 4th Avenue North, Broadway and the Cumberland River. Three people were injured in the blast which has caused significant disruption to local power.

Ohio - Police are inspecting a suspicious vehicle near a federal building in Cincinnati Local media reports that police are inspecting a suspicious RV type vehicle that has been left parked with the engine running near a federal budling on 6th Street, Cincinnati. Police have closed several roads including 6th Street west of Broadway, 7th Street at Main and Sycamore south of 7th Street. Earlier today, a similar vehicle exploded in Nashville, injuring three people.
