Islamist extremist attack reported in Bam Province
Local media reports indicate that an Islamist extremist group has
conducted an attack on the village of Namssiguian in Bam Province. The attack
occurred on 15 January and resulted in the deaths of at least 10 people.
Several buildings were looted and destroyed by the assailants, and telephone
antennas were sabotaged in order to cut off any potential communication with
