District of Columbia - Emergency declaration approved by President Trump

President Donald Trump has reportedly approved an emergency declaration for Washington DC that allows additional federal resources to be used in emergencies. Local authorities have asked for additional resources to be used to guard against further violent unrest that was seen last week in the capital. It is unclear what the additional measures are but is likely to be the deployment of more federal troops to protect government property and support law enforcement for the presidential inauguration.
