Update: Heavy rainfall causes renewed flooding in Petropolis
It has been reported that heavy rainfall has caused renewed flooding in
Petropolis. The Brazilian Civil Defence has activated emergency sirens to
warn all residents of Petropolis, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, that
rainfall was imminent. At least 185 people are reported to have been killed
in the recent flooding, and further deaths remain possible.
