M-5.5 earthquake 77 km southwest of La Esperanza

The US Geological Survey has detected an M-5.5 earthquake 77 km southwest of La Esperanza, in the Gulf of Tehuantepec. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 39 km. There are no reports, as yet, of any casualties or infrastructure damage, nor of any tsunami warning having been issued.
