State claims responsibility for bomb attack on mosque in Kandahar
Local sources report that Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the
suicide bomb attack on a Shia mosque in the city of Kandahar. The attack was
carried out during Friday prayers and resulted in more than 30 deaths. It is
the second major bomb attack on a mosque in Afghanistan in the space of a
