Attack in Vetlanda to be treated as attempted murder

Yesterday's multiple stabbing attack in the Swedish municipality of Vetlanda which resulted in seven people being injured is to be treated by the police as attempted murder. Initial reports in the aftermath of the incident were that the security forces were treating the incident as a possible terror attack. Alongside this reclassification, it was also announced that the number of injured, was seven as opposed to the eight initially believed to have been harmed. Of the seven injured, three are believed to be in life threatening condition, and two others are seriously injured. The condition of the remaining two is not known.
