It has been reported that a number of protesters have been arrested amid ongoing protests in Almaty. The protesters are marching against the rise in fuel prices despite the announcement that the authorities would lower the cost. There have been no reports of violence at the protests at this time.

연료 가격 상승을 발표하며 이에 대한 규탄 시위'가 진행 되며 시위대가 집회와 행진을 진행하는 가운데,
시위 진압 과정에서 일부 시위대들을 경찰이 체포해 갔다는 보고가 확인되었습니다.
현재까지 시위가 과격, 폭력 시위로 변질되었다는 내용은 보고된 바 없습니다.

Update: Dozens of protesters detained and social media sites blocked amid protests in Almaty

According to local media sources, dozens of protesters have been detained and arrested by police amid ongoing protests in Almaty. The protesters are marching against the rise in fuel prices despite the announcement that the authorities would lower the cost. Initial reports also suggest that Telegram, WhatsApp and Signal, all social media messaging sites, have been blocked from 22:00 local time. There are still no reports of violence at the protests.

Update: Unconfirmed reports of activists being beaten in protests in Almaty

There are unconfirmed reports being released that several protesters have been beaten by security forces in Almaty. Initial reports suggest that the leader of the unregistered Democratic Party is amongst those beaten. The police have not commented on the accusations.

Update: 군경이 시위대를 과격진압했다는 보고

신빙성 있는 내용으로 확인되지 않았지만, 현지에서는 보안군, 경찰에게 시위대가 구타를 당했다는 보도가 있었습니다.
구타를 당한 인물이 무등록된 민주 단체의 대표라고 합니다.
현지 경찰에서는 이에 대해 언급하지 않았습니다.

Update: Authorities order curfew in Almaty and Mangystau Province in response to protests

Authorities in Kazakhstan have announced that a curfew will be imposed in the city of Almaty and the province of Mangystau following protests. Demonstrators have taken to the streets to denounce recent hikes in the price of natural gas. Curfew hours will run from 23:00 to 07:00 local time on a nightly basis until at least 19 January.

카자흐스탄의 Almaty, Mangystau 지역 당국은 시위 이후에 통행 금지령을 내릴 것이라고 발표 했습니다.
통행금지 시간은 현지 시간으로 최소 1월 19일 까지 23:00~07:00 간 진행될 것으로 발표했습니다.

Update: President accepts resignation of government following prostest

President Tokayev has reportedly accepted the resignation of his government following several days of protests against a hike in the price of natural gas. Government members will continue to fulfil their duties prior to the approval of a new government. Further protests cannot be ruled out in the near term.

Tokayev 대통령은 규탄 시위가 지속됨에 따라 사임할 것을 발표했습니다.
새 정부의 승인 전 까지는 의무적으로 행정 업무를 수행 할 것입니다.
하지만 시위가 종료될 지는 알 수 없습니다.
