Eight killed in ongoing protests across Khuzestan

According to Amnesty International, at least eight people have been killed in protests over water shortages since the unrest started on 15 July in Iran's Khuzestan Province. Iranian forces have reportedly used live ammunition to disperse crowds. Protests in Khuzestan over water shortages continue and have now entered their seventh consecutive day. Further related violence cannot be ruled out.
