Update: Ceasefire declared in Bosaso following two days of heavy
fighting
The Puntland regional government has confirmed that a ceasefire has been
agreed in Bosaso following two days of heavy fighting in the area. The
clashes are reported to have occurred between Somali security forces loyal to
the Puntland regional government and the US-trained Puntland Security Forces
(PSF) which is aligned with the Somali central government. At least seven
people are reported to have been killed and at least a further 50 people have
been injured during the two days of fighting. No further information is
available at this time.
