Demonstrators gathered near Hledan Centre in Yangon amid continued protests against military coup

Local media reporting indicates that demonstrators have gathered in Yangon ahead of further protests against the recent military coup in Myanmar. According to reports, a large crowd has gathered outside the Hledan Centre. Additionally, a police barricade has been set up at the Sule intersection, a site where thousands of protesters have gathered over the last two weeks. There are no reports of any clashes or arrests in Yangon as of yet, however, security forces have deployed aggressive crowd dispersal tactics in recent weeks, including firing rounds of live ammunition.
