Shadow opposition government announces formation of an anti-junta militia force

On 5 May, a spokesman for the shadow opposition National Unity Government announced the formation of an anti-junta militia force known as the People's Defence Force. This announcement followed an uptick in the number of bomb attacks and explosions in Myanmar's cities amidst the ongoing civil unrest since the 1 February coup d'etat conducted by the military. The National Unity Government has expressed its intention for this militia force to function as a precursor to a future Federal Union Army.

그림자 야당 정부, 반 정권 민병대 편성 발표
