Government announces plans to evacuate multiple provinces ahead of Typhoon Vamco

Multiple media outlets report that the government has announced plans to evacuate approximately 460,000 residents from multiple provinces including Ha Tinh and Quang Ngai ahead of Typhoon Vamco which is expected to make landfall in the next 24 hours. The storm is expected to make landfall with wind speeds of 103mph and has already caused severe damage in the Philippines, killing 53 people and injuring a further 52.
