Media reports suggest that farmers have gone on strike across India due to an ongoing dispute over new agricultural laws. Farmers have also staged protests across the country and continue to block major roads, including around the capital, New Delhi. There were reports of scuffles and low-level clashes between protesters and security forces in Jaipur, Rajasthan state. Talks between the farmers' unions and the government are set to resume on 9 December.
