156 declared missing following vessel capsizing in Niger River, Kebi State

The Nigerian National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) has declared 156 people to be missing following a vessel capsizing in the Niger River, Kebi State. The boat had been travellers to a market in Malale, Niger State. The cause of the capsize has not yet been confirmed. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
