Seven soldiers
killed in Madina Sylla and Segou
Seven soldiers have been killed in two attacks on Madina Sylla and Segou.
In Madina Sylla, an escort was ambushed by a group of unidentified, armed
assailants. The attack left two dead and a further three people injured. In
Segou, an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated after coming into close
proximity with a pick-up vehicle. The explosion killed all five occupants of
the vehicle. A sweep of the area following the explosion resulted in the
