Authorities have reported elevated dengue fever activity in Colombia, with 35,647 cases reported between Jan. 1-Oct. 31. Weekly reported cases during October have nearly doubled when compared to a similar period in 2020. Elevated disease activity is likely to continue through 2022. Most cases were reported in Bolivar, Atlantic, and North Santander Departments. This represents the most complete data available as of Nov. 16.

특히나 지난 10월 한달 동안은 2020년 동기간 기준 2배에 가까운 환자가 보고되어 뎅기열 확산에 대한 우려가 커지고 있는 상황입니다. 대부분의 감염자는 Blibar, Atiantic, North Santander Departments 지역을 중심으로 확인 되었고 2022년까지 감염 위험은 지속될 것으로 예측 되고 있습니다.

콜롬비아 내의 뎅기열 위험은 장마철이 지난 직후인 5월 ~ 11월에 매년 발견되는 위험 사항 입니다. 
뎅기열 감염 병력이 있는 사람이라면 백신 접종이 권장되며 이전에 없던 두통, 갑작스러운 발열, 관절통 및 근육통, 발진 증상이 나타난다면 뎅기열을 의심해야 합니다.
