ELN announces armed strike in parts of Colombia, 23 - 26 February
The US Embassy in Bogota has reported that the National Liberation Army
(ELN) are continuing to plot possible terror attacks in Colombia. ELN have
announced a 'paro armado', or armed strike, in Colombia from 23 to 26
February. Usually, the areas affected by ELN attacks are Antioquia, Arauca,
Cesar, Norte de Santander, and Valle de Cauca. However, there remains the
possibility that attacks could occur in other, more urban areas. The
transport and public security sectors are typically the most targeted.
