Cyclone Nivar to make landfall on the Tamil Nadu coastline, 25 November

Meteorological reports from the Bay of Bengal report that Severe Cyclone Nivar is expected to make landfall across the Tamil Nadu coastline and Puducherry, around the vicinity of Karaikal and Mamallapurum on 25 November during afternoon hours local time. The cyclone is expected to bring strong winds and extremely heavy rains across the region, including in isolated places such as Rayalaseema. Storm surges along the Chennai-Puducherry coast are expected.
