Update: More than 1,000 protesters arrested in Moscow amid pro-Navalny demonstrations, more than 4,00 arrested across the country

According to monitoring groups, at least 1,155 protesters have now been arrested in Moscow, and at least 4,000 demonstrators have been detained across 85 cities in Russia amid ongoing protests in support of Putin critic Alexei Navalny. Reports currently indicate that metro stations in the capital have resumed operations after being suspended due to protest activity. Local footage shows demonstrators often being violently arrested as tensions remain high. Reports have also emerged of riot police using a taser upon detaining a protester.
