Fatalities
reported following IED blast in Mentao
According to media sources, an improvised explosive device has detonated
in Mentao, a locality in the province of Soum. The incident was reported
around 15:00 local time this afternoon, 29 September. The blast targeted a
military convoy, killing at least five soldiers and injuring another. As of
yet, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
