and Ethiopian forces clashing near disputed Al Fushqa border
Emerging local media reports suggest that the Sudanese
and Ethiopian armies are engaged in combat in the disputed Al Fushqa region.
Sudanese media reports claim that the Sudanese army liberated the settlement
of Brecht. The Sudanese army had recently deployed greater numbers to the
region following the accusations the Ethiopian army had killed seven soldiers
and a civilian and displayed their bodies in public.
