Boko Haram militants reportedly killed in clashes near Gujba, Yobe state

A spokesperson for the Nigerian military has told local press that soldiers have killed 28 Boko Haram militants during clashes near the village of Gujba as part of a new military operation called Tura Takaibango. Several vehicles along with weapons and ammunition were seized following the clashes in which one soldier was also killed. Gujba was attacked by Boko Haram fighters on 9 January in which several buildings including a local school were set on fire.
