Police deploy tear gas to disperse protesters in Havana

Preliminary reports indicate that clashes broke out between anti-government protesters and police in Havana's Central Business District. Police allegedly used tear gas to disperse demonstrators. At present, there is no indication of injuries. Unconfirmed reports also suggest that internet access was blocked nationwide. Protests are also underway elsewhere in the country including in Camaguey, Palma Soriano, Puerto Padre and Santiago de Cuba.
