Widespread flooding reported in Zakarpattia Oblast
According to local news reports, approximately 160 households, hundreds of
farms and critical infrastructure were flooded in the Berehove, Khust,
Rakhiv, Tyachiv and Mukachevo districts in Zakarpattia Oblast on 5 January
following heavy rainfall. Emergency service personnel and rescue teams have
been deployed to the worst-affected areas. There have been no confirmed
reports of any casualties; however, a number of buildings have collapsed due
to the flooding.
