Arrests made during a protest, Yangon

Multiple sources report three people were arrested whilst protesting against the military coup in the Thingangyun township, Yangon. Protests are also underway in Mandalay but there are no reports of violence or arrests.

Protesters reported shot in Naung Cho and Hsipaw

Local media reports that two protesters have been killed during security force crackdowns in the towns of Naung Cho and Hsipaw in Myamnar's Shan State. Images show a body being lifted into an ambulance. Further violence and security force crackdowns nationwide are anticipated.
