Multiple
fatalities and kidnapping reported in Markoye
Local media outlets indicate that approximately ten people have been
killed and around four people have been kidnapped in Markoye. The
unidentified armed men attacked the civilians at a weekly food and cattle
market. Whilst the group are unidentified, the region has suffered several
attacks from non-state armed groups in the past.
