Update: farming protests block Expressway, East Delhi

A farmer's protest by the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) has been held and blocked the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (NH-9) near the Ghazipur border in east Delhi. Farmers have been protesting since late November to demonstrate against controversial new farming laws. Protests have been conducted nationwide and held outside government buildings.
