Multiple fatalities reported following an alleged arson attack in
Hpruso
A major fire in the town of Hpruso is reported to have killed more than 30
people during the evening hours of 24 December and early morning hours of 25
December. The fire has been alleged by the Karenni Nationalities Defense
Force to have been started by forces loyal to the ruling military junta of
Myanmar, although no independent verification of this claim has emerged at
this time.
