Military deployed nationwide to combat an increase in homicide
President Nayib Bukele has authorised the deployment of military patrols
to public spaces across El Salvador following a significant increase in
homicides. At least 30 homicides were documented between 9 and 10 November.
The majority of the deployed soldiers will be stationed in San Salvador. No
further information is available at this time.
