Local sources report that protesters in the Eixample neighbourhood of Barcelona have erected a road blockade and have set it alight. Reports indicate that objects have also been thrown. Fire crews are now working to extinguish the blaze. Demonstrations are also ongoing in the city of Valencia. Reports suggest that in one instance, police charged a crowd of protesters gathered in the area of Placa de Sant Agust after bottles were allegedly thrown. Demonstrators have taken to the streets for the third night of protests against the arrest of rapper Pablo Hasel. The situation may escalate in either city over the coming hours and a heightened security presence remains in place.
