Magnitude 5.7 earthquake Northwest of Balatero

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) indicates that it has detected a 5.7 magnitude earthquake approximately 6km Northwest of Balatero. The tremor was recorded at a depth of 109km. Local sources indicate that residents in Manila felt the shaking but there are no reports as yet, of any significant infrastructure damage or of a tsunami warning being issued.
