Evacuation
order issued to two areas due to Sakurajima volcano eruption
Residents in Arimura-cho and Furusato-cho have been
ordered to evacuate after the Sakurajima volcano erupted spewing ash 2.5
kilometres above the crater. The volcanic alert level has been upgraded from
3 to 5, the highest level of alert on Japan's scale.
Evacuation from dangerous residential areas has now been
