Ongoing shootout
between police and unknown assailants in Caracas
Social media reports have confirmed that a group of unidentified
assailants are currently engaged in a public shootout with Venezuelan police
officers in central Caracas. The gunmen are alleged to have taken shelter at
a nearby property and barricaded themselves within with hostages. Multiple
injuries have been reported, including at least one injured police officer.
